Forbes: A powerful wind gust blew off a section of a Castlewood, Va., pizzeria rooftop, killing a passing motorist when it slammed into his car. When I was in my mid-20s, I was living in London, making almost no money and staying in a dumpy, damp and cramped flat directly above the train tracks. As poor as I was, and as rough as my living conditions were, I had original artwork hanging on my wall, I had a flashy stereo and I slept on luxurious Frette linens every night. I wasn't living beyond my means, and no, I wasn't robbing banks, either. I just knew how to score some cheap goods when the local hotels were redecorating their rooms. You don't have to go begging at the back doors of hotels to get great furniture and accessories at rock-bottom prices. You see, when hotels renovate, they usually sell their out-of-date and worn furnishings to large liquidators. These companies resell the goods at huge warehouses located across the country.
A rush to rent rich in the Hamptons
If you think it's too early to book your summer vacation in the Hamptons, think again. The first buds of spring may be weeks away, but in the Hamptons, real estate agents say, the rental season is already going full throttle.
The season traditionally begins during Presidents' Week, says Judi Desiderio, president and chief executive of Town & Country Real Estate, whose main office is in East Hampton.
"By the end of that week, 50 percent of the summer rentals are gone." This year, the season took off at least a month earlier, she says.

Daniels Daughter Admits Relationship With Kellz
Kelly have come forward to discuss the singer's sexual relationship with Maxine Daniels. But now the 21-year-old daughter of Kelly's former confidant and publicist has come out of the closet to tell her side. On Friday, VIBE.com reported respected Chicago music retailer George Daniels, exposing Kelly's relationship with his daughter on Los Angeles radio station KJLH. “He crossed the line with my daughter," Daniels said on Guy Black's morning show. "It didn't get to the extreme of that [sex tape] video or else I wouldn't be here, if you know what I'm talking about . . . When you're 21, and if you've been there already like I've been many years ago, you're still 15 to 16 mentally. You're vulnerable."
