| Accused bunker shooter's friend says teen often talked 'crazy'
A teen who pleaded not guilty Tuesday to executing a young couple at an abandoned military bunker often talked of "crazy, crazy" things but wasn't taken seriously, one of his closest friends said Tuesday. "It's innocent until proven guilty," Rob Misetic, 18, said of Collin Lee McGlaughlin, whom he has known since 2003, when they were underclassmen at a private La Verne high school. "But if he did it, (he) finally snapped." McGlaughlin, 18, of West Covina, was arraigned on murder charges in San Bernardino County Superior Court in Barstow along with David Brian Smith, 19, of Covina. .

"The idea is that it (the tour) goes in a circle," said Jeff Donnelly, part-time professor of American Studies at the University of Miami and director of the tour school that trains the guides.

Pendleton found her speed in Beijing, qualifying fastest and hitting the finals against Tsylinskaya only to be defeated in two rounds, but had better luck in the keirin, winning in Sydney and now leads the World Cup in that event. Tsylinskaya leads the sprint standings with 20 points to Kanis and Meares' 17, but it remains to be seen who will come to Los Angeles seeking points and who will save the jet lag and hedge their bets on the next round in Copenhagen.
