I chose "skeptic" because liberals cannot fairly lay exclusive claim to the term. This the way they really want it BTW. "Journalists" in particular really consider that term their baby. Nope, the sword cuts both ways. If "skeptic" is good enough for other issues of consensus science, then it's good enough for AGW. -PJ "Trake: Your lofty convictions are another blemish on the rump of congregational sectarianism." -Tumbler 5/15/07 .

Electrical system controls AC units, lowers energy use
Manufacturer of electrical equipment, cable management systems and wiring accessories, Legrand, has developed energy saving occupancy sensors known as the Wattstopper system. The product is based on passive infrared and ultrasonic technologies, are designed to monitor and control lighting and temperature levels in domestic, commercial and industrial applications. “Recently launched Wattstopper switches and sensors turn lighting and air-conditioning off in unoccupied areas," says Legrand South Africa national sales manager Timothy Mountjoy. “This saves users hours of wasted energy each day, thereby ensuring substantial energy savings at a crucial time in this country," he says. Wattstopper low temperature sensors are designed for installation in cold storage facilities and freezers, and operate on the basis of passive infrared technology that senses occupancy by detecting the difference between heat emitted from the human body in motion and the background space.

With his thick brimmed black cowboy hat above his brow, Scott Martell proudly follows in his grandfather's boots. Martell describes his grandfather as a really good cowboy and believes the cowboy lifestyle was bred into him. Though it's not always a leisurely life, it suits him well. Originally from Hudson, Martell has been around horses and cattle his whole life. So when picking a career, working with animals seemed natural. "It's easier to get along with animals," he said. "They are a lot simpler and I'm a simple guy." And while that may be the case, the cattle industry is not nearly as simple as one would think. As Martell puts it, people don't always realize the education that is needed to stay competitive within the industry. At one point, Martell considered becoming a veterinarian, but ended up switching paths.
